Fabulous Picture

This picture was taken by a friend of mine in Utah. Isn't awesome? The only thing I'm not sure I like is the white background. It's definitely pretty, but I think it is snow. Snow is just one more reason I'd rather rent where we are than own in Magna. Thanks Da and Wendy for sharing! (I hope you don't mind I ripped your picture off and have posted it for all to see.)

Make a Liar Out Me

I've gone and made a liar out of myself. Obviously there were not 13 posts in one day. I was too busy knitting to type. When you drive 14 hours in two days and then three days later do it again, you have to do something so you don't lose it on the freeway. In the past, I usually fall asleep in about twenty minutes and wake up around Bakersfield but this trip I had trouble sleeping in the car (I hope that it's not a sign I'm getting old). Since I don't get car sick I get to knit, and knit, and knit, and knit, and knit all the way across the Southern California desert, through Nevada and on to Utah. Matt and Christa my sister and brother-in-law actually asked if I knit at home, or if it is just something I do while in Saint George so I can deal with John's family. I just laughed. Yes I really do knit at home. But at home I'm not as limited. I also get to sew, quilt, and craft. I don't like to cook, but I plan on knitting some adorable knit cupcakes for a party I'm planning. More to come on that later...

Times Fun When You're Having Flies

Or something like that...Ironically in my last post I jokingly mentioned the word bronchitis. Well, we won't do that again. It wasn't full blown bronchitis but I jinxed myself with a nasty cough/cold. But I have been keeping busy. I signed up for NetFlicks and have gone to town. The power of ten has been completely thrown out the window and is now something more like the power of forty-three. Luckily, many of the "mini projects" have been completed. I made a cute little pin cushion which I named Pablo, a rag flannel quilt for a Young Women's project, I sewed a skirt, completed a fiber art flower, knit a purse, and made a Dammit Doll for a friend. Today I did a little shopping and am now packed and ready to go. Tomorrow we head for LA and on to Saint George on Wednesday. This means I will have plenty of time to catch up on my blogging while we drive. Don't be surprised if you find 13 posts in one day.

No Rest for the Wicked

I need to clear something up for those of you who think that because we don't have children we get to sleep in on Saturdays (or any other day for that matter). It's just not true! We have created monsters who at 7:30am decide it is time to be awake rain or shine, bronchitis or not. Needless to say Ani and Jedi are spoiled! I can only think of three times they haven't had their walk. You just don't risk messing with Ani's walk. She gets revenge and takes it out on pillows, or couches, and even Jed.
