Got Nothin'

I'm trying to come up with something witty, entertaining, and enlightening for those of you who are faithful readers, but I got nothin'. But don't ditch me yet, I'll come up with something. There are like six drafts of posts that either the video wont load or I decided to censor myself. So, what can I tell you today?...Still got nothin'. Nothin' exciting anyway. Actually we've got something very awesome going on today but I'm hesitant to say anything for fear of jinxing it.

We're in company mode. What is company mode? Company mode is where you've got a special guest coming and you get into the mode of spiffing up the place for their benefit. Husbands hate it because it usually involves long honey-do lists and a bit of re-decorating. This time company mode has taken the form of getting pictures hung, curtains hung, a new rug, and new potted plant.

So who's coming? Alright, alright. Our caseworker is coming to re-inspect our house (because we moved) and we're going to sign placement paperwork! Can it really be? This is the documentation which starts the six month countdown to finalization. Which means she can be sealed in the temple and given a name and a blessing. We've had a few little hiccups along the way, but it should happen today. I have eight hours to get my house spic and span enough for inspection. The home inspection is really not that big a deal, but there's something unnerving about having your house inspected as part of your competency to parent. Whatever. Just a hoop to jump through. At this point if you want me to rub my head and pat my tummy while jump-roping backwards, I'll do it.
